Member Spotlight: Michael David

Hey everyone! I am Michael David; I grew up in Torrance, California (south of Los Angeles) and just moved here a couple months back for work as a structural engineer. Space is a huge interest of mine - at work I get to design civil and science based satellites (including the new James Webb Space Telescope launching later this year, hopefully). This is actually my first time on the East Coast ever, and I am loving every bit of it so far. Typically I like to hangout with friends, play games, read, and serve at church wherever I can.

This last sermon on enduring to the end reminded me a lot of how I am to live as a follower of Christ. Enduring isn't sitting and waiting for something to happen; it is going on the offense, bringing others to the fight, and helping those who have fallen. I know that in the end Jesus wins - but that doesn't mean I can just go and do whatever I want. God wants me to always be a witness to others inside and outside of the church - in both how I act and in what I say. I don't always live this way, but praise God that we are saved by His righteousness and not our own!
